EN 136 Respiratory Protective Devices - Full Face Masks - Properties, Tests, Marking

In the EN 136 standard, a European standard, the requirements for full-face mask respiratory protection equipment are described and test methods are presented. However, full face masks for diving apparatus are not covered by this standard. This standard has been published in our country by the Turkish Standards Institute (TSE) with the following title: EN 136 Respiratory protective devices - Full face masks - Features, experiments, marking.

EN 136 Respiratory Protective Devices - Full Face Masks - Properties, Tests, Marking

Respirators are a full facepiece that covers the eyes, nose, mouth and chin and provides respiratory protection to the wearer in the form of a suitable seal against certain atmospheric conditions and airborne hazards. Respirators are made of natural rubber and silicone and are manufactured in designs and filters that comply with various safety standards such as EN 141, EN 143 and EN 371.

The EN 136 standard covers three types of full face masks: full mask for light work, full mask for general use and full mask for private use. All of these provide the same level of respiratory protection. It only has some differences in terms of its applications.

The requirements set for these masks are: materials, temperature resistance, non-flammability, resistance to thermal radiation, finished parts, replaceable components, headband, connectors, speech diaphragm, eye and trackers, inhalation valves and exhalation valves, air tightness, skin compatibility, exhaled air carbon dioxide content, breathing resistance, internal leakage and field of vision.

Mainly in working environments There are two types of respiratory protective equipment commonly used: filtering equipment (negative masks) and respiratory equipment (positive masks). The main filtering equipment is dust masks, half mask respirators, full face mask respirators and powered (fan assisted) respirators. These use filters to remove pollutants from the workplace air. Breathing equipment also comes in different types such as clean air hose, airline and demand valve, or powered air purifying respirators.

Our organization, which has been trying to support businesses from all sectors with its wide range of testing, measurement, analysis and evaluation studies for years, has been testing full face masks within the scope of EN 136 respiratory protective devices, within the framework of glove testing services, with its trained and expert staff and advanced technological equipment. also provides services.
