ISO 13982-1 Protective Clothing For Use Against Solid Particles - Part 1: Performance Requirements for Chemical Protective Clothing Providing Whole Body Protection Against Airborne Solid Particles (Type 5 Clothing)

ISO 13982-1 Protective Clothing For Use Against Solid Particles - Part 1: Performance Requirements for Chemical Protective Clothing Providing Whole Body Protection Against Airborne Solid Particles (Type 5 Clothing)

The ISO 13982-1 standard, published by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), describes the minimum requirements for chemical protective clothing resistant to the penetration of airborne solid particles (type 5). These garments shall wear full body protective protective clothing such as one-piece coveralls or two-piece suits with or without foot protection, with or without a hood or visor, or two-piece suits that cover the body, arms and legs. Requirements for component parts such as hoods, gloves, boots, visors or respiratory protective equipment are contained in other international standards. This standard has been published by the Turkish Standards Institute (TSE) in our country with the following title: EN ISO 13982-1 / A1 Protective clothing used against solid particles - Part 1: Performance rules for chemical protective clothing that provides protection to the entire body against solid particulate chemicals emitted by air ( type 5 clothing).

ISO 13982-1 Protective Clothing For Use Against Solid Particles - Part 1: Performance Requirements for Chemical Protective Clothing Providing Whole Body Protection Against Airborne Solid Particles (Type 5 Clothing)

This standard applies only to solid particles in the air. This standard does not apply to other types of threats caused by solid chemicals, such as the penetration of chemical dust from materials by friction or stretching, which is the subject of separate standards.

It is necessary to determine the suitability of a Type 5 garment for each specific chemical substance and the acceptable exposure limits for inward infiltration of that garment. Therefore, where type 1 garment is required to achieve the required level of protection, it is possible that such garments will not provide adequate protection from aerosols of highly hazardous substances.

If Type 5 garments are tested for their electrostatic properties, or if they are tested as radioactive particle-proof clothing, clothing protecting against infective agents, and clothing resistant to heat and flame, the labeling of these garments must meet these standards. information that it has been complied with.

With the experience gained over many years, our organization also provides test services for protective clothing (type 13982 clothes) against chemical solid particles that provide protection to the whole body against ISO 1-5 solid particles in the air, within the framework of laboratory services of the materials with a trained and expert staff.
