The ASTM D751-19 standard, developed by the American Testing and Materials Association (ASTM), provides test methods for rubber-coated fabrics, namely tarpaulins, raincoats and similar products, including, but not limited to. The full name of this standard is as follows: ASTM D751-19 Standard test methods for coated fabrics.
These test methods are
ASTM D751-19 standard defines a testing machine with three main parts: straining mechanism, clamps for holding samples, and load and elongation recording mechanisms. Advanced laboratories include universal testing machines, the strain mechanism and built-in load and elongation recording systems. The clamps are specially designed to hold each of the materials and samples fixed to the testing machine and described in each of the various tests listed above.
Standard test methods for coated fabrics, although generally recognize rubber-coated fabrics, the scope is not limited to rubber and extends to similar types of polymer coatings on textiles. Commonly used coating types include plastic material and Teflon.
ASTM D751-19 standard, safety concerns for its use it does not claim to cover all. It is the responsibility of the enterprises using this standard to establish appropriate safety, health and environmental practices and to determine the applicability of the restrictions in legal regulations before use.
With the experience gained over many years, our organization also provides standard testing services for ASTM D751-19 Coated fabrics, within the framework of laboratory services of materials with a trained and expert staff, to enterprises that demand.
