In the EN 1276 standard, which is a European standard, the minimum requirements for the bactericidal activity of chemical disinfectants and antiseptics used in food, industrial, domestic and institutional areas are explained and a test method is presented. This standard has been published in our country by the Turkish Standards Institute (TSE) with the following title: EN 1276 Chemical disinfectants and antiseptics - Quantitative suspension test for evaluating the bactericidal activity of chemical disinfectants and antiseptics used in the food industry, households and establishments - Test method and properties (stage 2, step 1).
This standard specifies minimum requirements and provides a test method for the bactericidal activity of chemical disinfectant and antiseptic products that form a homogeneous and physically stable preparation when diluted with hard water or in the case of ready-to-use products. In this test method, products are tested only at a concentration of 80 percent or less.
The EN 1276 standard does not cover products used in food, industrial, domestic and institutional areas, except for areas and situations where medical disinfection is indicated, and products used in living tissues other than those for hand hygiene in these areas.
This standard includes at least the following areas:
With the experience gained over many years, our organization also provides quantitative suspension test services for the evaluation of the bactericidal activity of chemical disinfectants and antiseptics used in EN 1276 Food, industrial, domestic and institutional areas within the framework of laboratory services of the materials with a trained and expert staff.
