In the EN ISO 15090 standard, which is a European standard, the requirements for the performance of three types of shoes to be used by firefighters in emergency situations related to fire fighting, general purpose rescue, fire rescue and hazardous materials are explained and test methods are presented. This standard has been published in our country by the Turkish Standards Institute (TSE) with the following title: EN 15090 Footwear for firefighters.
This standard does not cover special personal protective equipment used in high risk situations. For example, the conditions described in the ISO 15538 standard (ISO 15538 Protective clothing for firefighters - Laboratory test methods and performance requirements for protective clothing with reflective outer surfaces).
