EN 60903 Gloves - Made of Insulating Material - Working Under Voltage

EN 60903 Gloves - Made of Insulating Material - Working Under Voltage

In the European standard EN 60903, the requirements for electrically insulated protective gloves intended for use by employees exposed to high electrical voltage are explained and test methods are presented. This standard has been published in our country by the Turkish Standards Institute (TSE) with the following title: EN 60903 Gloves - Insulating material - Working under voltage.

EN 60903 Gloves - Made of Insulating Material - Working Under Voltage

This standard does not refer to other glove standards such as EN 388 Protective gloves against mechanical risks standard, EN ISO 374 Protective gloves against hazardous chemicals and microorganisms standard, and EN ISO 21420 Protective gloves - General requirements and test methods (former EN 420) standard.

Protective gloves designed, manufactured and approved in accordance with the EN 60903 standard are those that should be used when there is a risk of electric shock. To help determine which gloves offer the best protection, it is necessary to determine the capacity of the gloves for different voltage levels.

It is recommended that specially designed protective gloves be worn over electrically insulating gloves to limit the effects of wear and tear.

Within the framework of this standard, the following additional requirements are optionally included: acid resistance, oil resistance, ozone resistance, resistance to high mechanical stress, resistance to acid, oil, ozone and high mechanical stress and resistance to extreme cold.

Insulating protective gloves should be checked every six months. During these checks, protective gloves are subjected to inspection and visual inspection to detect air leaks, and for class 1-4 gloves, additional electrical tests are performed.

Meanwhile, protective gloves must be packaged individually, and the packaging must be durable enough to protect against damage during transport, such as prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, excessive humidity, and temperatures above and below room temperature.

Our organization, which has been trying to support businesses from all sectors with its wide range of testing, measurement, analysis and evaluation studies for years, with its trained and expert staff and advanced technological equipment, within the framework of glove testing services, protective gloves made of insulating material used in EN 60903 work under voltage It also provides testing services.
